Course Closing for Winter

With the upcoming weather forecast, the courses will be closed for the winter starting Sunday, December 2nd. With that said, don't forget to take advantage of the Black Friday sales at Lathwell's Golf Shop today and remember that the clubhouse will remain open for the holiday events and dining!

Get to know Chris

Chris is a Michigan State University graduate in Turfgrass Management. Following graduation, Chris worked at Walnut Creek from May 2015 - October 2016. Then, Chris moved on to Boca West Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida where he was First Assistant of the Palmer #1 course. After this, Chris became a caddie at TPC Sawgrass for a short period before taking a First Assistant position at Bent Tree Country Club in Dallas, TX. Last summer Chris made the decision to come back to Michigan to be close to family and accepted the position of Assistant Superintendent again at Walnut Creek CC with the hopes of being part of the looming golf course renovation.
