Rough...Rough....Rough...

Long rough and clumpy cut grass have been frequent occurrences with the wet spring we've had and it has taken an enormous amount of time and staff to keep up with it.  Recently we invested in two new John Deere rough mowers which are helping tremendously with keeping everything cut, and now also removing clippings at the same time.  In an effort to save time and use labor in other more detail oriented areas, Hector has custom fabricated trailer hitches for both mowers which now allow each mower to also tow a blower.  Now, one employee can mow and blow the rough at the same time so clumpy cut rough can be a thing of the past!

With the addition of the two new rough mowers, our grounds staff is now capable of mowing the entire golf course twice per week. The new rough mowing units also provide better cut consistency vs. our old units .
