Jr. Course Renovation

This fall we are testing a renovation possibility with the thought in mind of regrassing fairways and surrounding rough surfaces while we complete the renovation on the west course next fall. On the first hole of the Jr. Course, we used a non-selective herbicide to kill all the current grass on the fairway and surrounding rough and today it was seeded to our intended mix. The fairway portion was seeded to 007 bentgrass and the round was seeded to 90% Turf Type Tall Fescue and 10% Kentucky Bluegrass. We expect to see germination within 7 days and hope to be cutting the fairway for the first time withing 14 days. As we progress, we will be doing more posts on the blog to update everyone on the progress.

Bare soil area was leveled, seeded, and dimpled for good seed to soil contact

Fairway was slit-seeded in 3 directions using 007 bentgrass
