Renovation Update - Saturday, August 16th

Great progress has been made in the last week with only a few minor setbacks due to weather. 1 North was completed and work began on 1 South. As of today, 1 South is completely done being shaped and the left green side bunker is sodded. The remainder of the hole will be sodded this Monday. Work has also started on 7 South with sod being removed from the green surround and rough shaping of the new bunker. Enjoy the rest of the weekend-

Get to know Chris

Chris is a Michigan State University graduate in Turfgrass Management. Following graduation, Chris worked at Walnut Creek from May 2015 - October 2016. Then, Chris moved on to Boca West Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida where he was First Assistant of the Palmer #1 course. After this, Chris became a caddie at TPC Sawgrass for a short period before taking a First Assistant position at Bent Tree Country Club in Dallas, TX. Last summer Chris made the decision to come back to Michigan to be close to family and accepted the position of Assistant Superintendent again at Walnut Creek CC with the hopes of being part of the looming golf course renovation.
