Winter Weather Delays

The Redi-Rock wall continues to be delayed due to mother nature. The highs this week are in single digits with wind chills below zero. Materials and equipment are on site now and the project is ready to begin. When the weather cooperates, the project is slated to on take 4 to 5 days to complete. Get to know Chris

Chris is a Michigan State University graduate in Turfgrass Management. Following graduation, Chris worked at Walnut Creek from May 2015 - October 2016. Then, Chris moved on to Boca West Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida where he was First Assistant of the Palmer #1 course. After this, Chris became a caddie at TPC Sawgrass for a short period before taking a First Assistant position at Bent Tree Country Club in Dallas, TX. Last summer Chris made the decision to come back to Michigan to be close to family and accepted the position of Assistant Superintendent again at Walnut Creek CC with the hopes of being part of the looming golf course renovation.
